Post First person. anyone?
Having recently been talked into reading Twilight by my sister I suddenly have a new found appreciation for people who write in the first person WELL.

Doing it for the lulz as Ms. Mormon-Face Meyer seems to have done simply will not cut it.
The Lucifer Box novels by Mark Gatiss are really good and funny, but I can't think of any others that I've read and liked. Google isn't really the place for this as it has no opinions.

So, recommend me some first person goodness.
That would be proper good.

Right now I'm reading Mary Stewart's Merlin series, which is the King Arthur stories told from the point of view of Merlin in the first person, starting from when he was a boy. I think it's done well, and the idea of Merlin's powers developing without him fully understanding what's going on adds a lot to the story, and gives a really different angle on an otherwise classic character.

I'm only on book one, so it could start to suck later in the series. But so far, I'm impressed.
