Pet peeve: Piss on the seat. Guys, leave the seat up all you want if it will keep you from peeing where I sit. Ladies, for the love of God, you have no excuse.

Bad habit: Being way too obsessive-compulsive with bathing and using up all the hot water when I shower.

Oh God, yes.

Peeve: Making flat "A's" in any Italian word.

Bad habit: Putting flat A's in many non-Italian words that still shouldn't have them. Like "plaza." Thanks, Buffalo.

How do you mispronounce gesture???

My pet peeve is people who demand that I smile on their command.

My bad habit is biting the inside of my bottom lip and/or cheeks.

I saw "Pet" and was instantly taken to My Pet Monshter, which is my pet happy. Aww.

My pet peeve is pushy old biddies at the stupid market. Now I have serious nanna love, they are a wealth of old knowledge and baking tips, but when they think they have the right to push in front of me at the deli because they are a hundred they can bite my youthful ass. Fair is fair in love and shopping.
Also people who think it's cool to faff around at the check out.
"Will that be savings or credit?"
"Actually, that will be spendings"
Guffaw guffaw.

Bad habit:
Thinking I have the right to pick my nose any time, any place. Clapping and cheering if it was a really good movie at the cinema (I bet you all hate).
Good stuff, Five. Now I'm going to be thinking of my bad habits for yonks.

And while on the subject of mispronunciation and pet peeves, I really hate it when people pronounce the word "library" as "lie-berry". The worst part is that I am currently in a library sciences program and a lot of my classmates are guilty of not being able to pronounce the stinkin' word "library" correctly.

lilbunny: I was used to seeing the word in print all the time in grade school, but oddly never heard it spoken. I assumed it was pronounced with a hard g, rather than j, and I've had trouble correcting myself ever since.

Subject: Internet Communication

Pet Peeve: "Aol-speak" Such as "C U l8r m8" or "OMG ROFL WTF JK NM U?" I've learned to live with "Lol", that's not fucking going away, but all that other shit needs to roll on into zee oven.

Bad Habit: Very sloppy, inaccurate typing. Especially for as much time as I spend on computers.

Subject: Also bathrooms

Pet Peeve: Stall doors that do not shut, and having some weird old man busting in on you when you're taking a crap.

Bad Habit: Forgeting that the faucets in some bathrooms aren't automatic shut off and I have to turn the tap. Manual labor, pshh.

Subject: Walking versus standing.

Pet Peeve: Groups of gawking teenage tourists taking up entire sidewalks, while waiting for their friends inside some chintzy overpriced crap souvenir shop, who don't think its necessary for others to get to their classes or walk until they have accomplished their business.

Bad Habit: Being polite first before resorting to bulling through these crowds with others in tow, not caring for the safety of tourist or attached person. I need to learn that an insistant but polite "'Scuzi, pardon, prosim, prominte" or two doesn't work.

I put on an "I can see my eyebrows--don't fuck with me" face and plow right through without a word. Did it to some cops the other day. S'right. I got the rocks. Stick with me, kid.
