Post Parasomniac
The name of my new website!
I think a couple of you know about this already, I'm not sure. Inky does right?

Anyway, Lee just got the website hosted, at the domain http://parasomniac.com/
It's clearly still under a lot of construction, but we really just wanted to get it up.

So, it's a place to host my comic, Wasteland, for when that kicks off. For right now, I'm working on the 'prototype' chapter, trying to get a mood, style, and story established. The Farmhouse, it is called. Still only up to like, page 19, and it will have to be redrawn eventually since the various art techniques I used on the pre-tablet pages out of experimentation not only suck, but are inconsistant. (I welcome feedback on which technique works best, since I practically use a different one for every page)

And as for the actual site, Lee/Cyclone did/is doing the design and coding.
So he basically built the website, and I built the content.

We're both in need of feedback. Lots of it. Don't hold back, we want to get this thing off the ground.

We'd like suggestions on improving the site, improving the comic, and even a method for advertisement when we've got something tactile to work from.

I knew aswell, what with my somewhat quiet stalking of you on dA.
I visited earlier, I like the site and the cute lil' Stan drawings being all "we're under construction" The arrows to navigate the comics are nice also.
The comic is goooooood stuff also. But I'm afraid I can't give such amazingly insightful advice or feedback there because I draw like this:

It's a bee.

Thanks Eth. ^^ I appriciate both the quiet stalking and the compliments.
Cyc's idea for me to doodle something for Under Construction works then, and the navigation arrows are prototypeish. I'm glad you like them.

It's fine if you've got no comic-knowledge advice of course, I appriciate the attention all the same. If there's something you don't like about it, ya know... *shrug* Eheh.

So anyway, I noticed Inky also registered on our sad little forum, and that's neat. ^^
Oh yeah, we've got a sad little forum.

And the bee is very cute. Though the picture is bright and fuzzy.

You have a forum?
I are there! To post more pictures of bees, and who knows what else? The possibilities are endless.

Your art is great, I'm very impressed. Except for you, everyone who says "I'm an artist" then links us to a peice of crap (amelia, for example). The only other person whose art I liked was zooly's. You've a very sophisticated style, very nice. I can't wait to see your comic when it's been refined a little.

Did you do that?

And no, Eth's bee was not bad. It was freakishly cute, considering it was a bee...I hate bees.

Anony: Yeah, I did that. I <3 my 0.7mm mechanical Bic.

Bee-lovin' is better than Atkin's, Eth. Hot, sweaty bee-lovin'.

Your page is coming along well, Vickie. The text on the mainpage needs a little bit of size-tweaking (spills over the table border with larger fonts--you could fix that with separate cells for the top, middle and bottom of the text box), and Opera makes the table background more yellow than the rest of the white on the rest of the page, but it comes out about the same in Mozilla, Firefox and IE. Not bad at all.

Thank you miss Moose, for the compliments to my art.

And Nacho, thanks to you as well, I'm giving Cyc your technical feedback.
We've been messing with the text a lot in general, so we'll keep that in mind.

And the bee-lovin is leh splendid! o.O Just a mechanical pencil? Rock on, man.

Heh, thanks. Pencil and a bit of tint from the GIMP.

You can always check out http://www.w3.org/ too. They have tips and guides and little tests you can run it through and what not. Get more of the comic done and I'll stick you underneath Dr. McNinja in my comics bookmarks.

I like the layout. I should start following your comic. It looks nice, too. I like that it's manga, but it's not too clich

Yeah, I was suprised it wasn't the usual manga cliche. It's nice to see the art form applied to an original story. I hate that, except for a few instances, manga has become a... cookie cutter... kind of thing. It's great to see it being so fresh. Mmm...fresh cookies...

Thanks again for the good review ya'll.

Moose, your words warm my soul.

We've made a few minor-ish updates, sharpened up the site look a bit, added page 20 and a cast page for the character Mat.

Cyclone has been feeling down lately because people ignore him and compliment me instead, so I'll add this:
I don't do a word of the code, host the site, upload things, or anything. Lee/Cyc does that. Making him my webdesigner I guess.
I draw all the pictures/borders/buttons/graphics/ect, and write a good majority of the text.
