Whoa! That looks AWESOME!

Two seconds later, the streets were flooded with the blood and gore of Giant Punisher's exploded head and chest cavity.

Superhulk?

:P

He does look kind of weedier. More Banner and less Green Rage Machine.

The real kicker with that cover is that the Punisher never even SEES the Hulk. Fuck you and your bait and switch tactics, Marvel. Fuck you right in your stupid eye.

What?!

That's worse than a character appearing on the cover, but only appearing in the comic as a twist at the end!

That's low, even for a comic distributor.

In all honesty, I'm getting kind of tired of the WWH storyline. The plots have ground to a halt, even though we're at 30something of 39 issues of it. The discovery of the cause of death of Arch-E was about the only thing I was waiting for. Nothing has really happened in the whole of the series. Hulk lands. Hulk makes threats. Various attempts to thwart Hulk have been smashed. All that's left is for Hulk to puss out and change his mind, or to be utterly demolished. As Planet Hulk was a kind of lead-in to World War Hulk, it feels as though WWH is a prelude to something else, too. Age of Hulk, or World Broken maybe. World Smashed? I have doubts that Marvel would have the stones to put The Incredible Hulk on the throne of the world. More likely they'll "kill him off", since that appears to be the out the comic industry keeps taking when they've written themselves into an intractable corner, and given too much face time to a second-string character. They'll milk his name recognition for a while, then pump out the "Death of Hulk" issue with no less than 37 variant covers. Anyone else have a prediction as to how this will play out, before I completely lose interest?

Reading that made me think of this (kindly hosted by our very own Inky one):

Any real reason why it failed, or was it just small amounts of fail piled together?

He... WHAT?!

He showed pity?! He showed MERCY?!

I think Marvel are trying to get some kind of message across about the badness of war or something. From what I've read, that means he forgives the people who SHOT HIM INTO FUCKING SPACE, and were then indirectly responsible when the ship blew up and [SPOILER]? That's... That's unforgiveable! It would be like Deadpool giving up the weapons, or the Punisher hanging up his guns and calling it quits.

It's just so out of character...

Also, I am upset that my Blob picture is no longer showing. It was mildly funny.
